Rev. Dr. William Obeng-Denteh attended Prempeh College in Kumasi, and obtained his Teachers' Certificate 'A' from the Offinso Training College in 1996. He graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 2002. He went on to obtain a Diploma in Theology from the then Christian Service College, now the Christian Service University College, Kumasi-Ghana, in 2004. He subsequently graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, in  2006, with a Master of Science degree in Mathematics, and later in 2012, with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pure Mathematics.

Rev. Dr. Obeng-Denteh is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and is the current head of the Mathematics Department. He also serves as a Reverend Minister in the Methodist Church, Ghana. He is inclined towards counselling, and is passionate about teaching, and the preaching the Word of God to manifest the good news of Salvation. 

His research interests lie in Mathematical Education and Pure Mathematics, with specific interest in the fields of Topology, Topological Dynamical Systems, Integral Equations and the Theory of Differential Equations. He is a member of the American Mathematical Society (AMS), and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).

At the National Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Ghana, he coordinates all outreach programmes, and is responsible for the logistical coordination of NIMS-Ghana programmes and activities. He oversees application processes, material organization, and execution of programmatic activities while working closely with the NIMS-Ghana Directorate and the various committees.
